How to Play Motion Melon Lab

1. Choose Play with camera or Play with mouse / touch. Camera permission is only requested when you choose webcam controls.

2. With a webcam, close your fist and move it left or right to aim. Open your hand to release one fruit. Keep one hand visible; losing tracking will not drop a fruit.

3. Wave your open hand back and forth continuously to stir the pool. Make several clear swings rather than a single swipe. Stirring uses 30 energy.

4. With a mouse, move to aim and click to drop. On a touchscreen, drag and release. Matching fruit merges into the next of nine fruit types.

5. Try Jelly, Soft or Juice physics. Hold the tilt buttons or A / D to tip the pool. Focus the pool to aim with arrow keys, drop with Enter, stir with Space, or pause with P.

A Soft-Body Watermelon Merge Game

Motion Melon Lab turns a fruit-merging puzzle into a small physics experiment. Fruit bends, bounces and squeezes into gaps instead of behaving like rigid balls. The pool begins with five fruits; choose where to drop the next one and bring matching pairs together. The fruit keeps its soft, squishy shape as it settles, with a complete English interface and a choice of motion or manual controls.

Turn Your Hand into the Controller

Your webcam mirrors your hand movement, so moving right aims right. Close your fist to take control of the next fruit, then open your fingers to release it. A brief hold confirms the gesture and helps avoid accidental drops. To stir, keep your palm open and wave side to side until the fruit swirls. Moving a closed fist only aims and never stirs. A single aiming move or a small hand tremor will not trigger it.

Use one hand in even lighting with the whole hand visible. Hand tracking runs locally in your browser. The camera preview is shown by default once tracking is ready. You can hide it, switch to mouse / touch at any time, or play without granting camera permission. Leaving the game turns the camera off.

Nine Fruits, Three Ways to Flow

Follow the evolution from grape, cherry, orange and lemon to kiwi, peach, persimmon, melon and watermelon. Jelly is springy, Soft is more flexible, and Juice spreads more easily. You can switch during a round. Making a watermelon opens a celebration, then you can keep playing. Merging two watermelons clears them from the pool.

Stir, Combine and Beat Your Best

Your energy starts at 100. Stirring costs 30, a merge restores 8, and waiting restores 2.3 per second. Merges less than 1.2 seconds apart build a combo, with a score multiplier capped at four. Fruit has a settling grace period after appearing; if it then stays above the dashed line for three seconds, the round ends. Your best score is saved in this browser, while each new visit returns to the start menu.

FAQ

How do the motion controls work?
Choose Play with camera, keep one hand visible, close your fist and move left or right to aim. Open your hand to drop one fruit. Wave your open hand back and forth continuously to stir; fist movement only aims, and a single swipe does not stir.
Do I have to use a camera?
No. Choose Play with mouse / touch to play without camera permission. You can switch controls during a round. Camera frames are processed locally, and leaving the game stops the camera.
What are the three physics modes?
Jelly is springy, Soft deforms gently, and Juice spreads into gaps. Switch modes at any time using the three buttons beside the pool.
How do I tilt and stir the fruit?
Hold the tilt buttons, or A / D while the game is focused. Stir by waving an open hand continuously, pressing Space or clicking Stir. It costs 30 energy; each merge restores 8, and waiting restores 2.3 per second, up to 100.
What happens when I make a watermelon?
Continue after the celebration. Merging two watermelons removes them and frees space. The round ends when settled fruit remains above the dashed line for three seconds.
Is my progress saved?
Your best score is saved locally in this browser. The current round is not saved; revisiting the game returns to the start menu.
