Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
SwayJoy (also "we", "us", "our") runs a platform of motion games that play directly in your browser and are controlled by your body movements through your webcam. This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use swayjoy.com and every game on it. The short version: your camera feed never leaves your device. We use Google Analytics to understand website usage, and we do not sell personal information. If you have any questions, email us at [email protected].
1. Your camera feed is processed on your device
To play, you give your browser access to your webcam. The video frames are analyzed locally, inside the page, by the MediaPipe framework running on your own device. The sole purpose is to turn your hands and body into game controls in real time. We do not upload, transmit, record, or store your camera feed or the motion data derived from it, and no server ever receives it. When you close the page or revoke camera permission, processing stops immediately.
2. Information we collect
We are deliberately minimal:
- No accounts. We never ask you to sign up, register, or provide your name or email address. The only time we receive an email address is if you write to us yourself, and we use it only to reply.
- Local storage on your device. To remember your progress and preferences, our games store small amounts of data in your browser's local storage on your own device — for example, levels you have unlocked, best scores, and settings such as grab mode, video quality, and sound. This data stays on your device, tied to your browser, and is cleared when you clear your site data.
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, visits, and website interactions. Google processes information such as the pages you visit, referral sources, browser and device information, and, when you allow analytics cookies, cookie identifiers. Without that permission, Google's advanced consent mode still sends limited measurements without cookies. We do not send camera frames, motion data, or your locally saved game progress to Google Analytics.
- Basic technical request data. When you open the site, the hosting and edge infrastructure we use (such as Cloudflare) processes standard technical data to deliver the pages and protect the service: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and timestamps. This is ordinary, short-lived operational logging by our host. It never includes camera frames or motion data.
3. How we use information
We use this information to operate and improve the Service. Local storage remembers your progress on your own device, technical logs help our hosting provider deliver and secure the pages, and analytics helps us understand which pages visitors use. Our Google tag disables Google signals and advertising personalization signals. We do not use this information for advertising or sell personal information.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Analytics cookie storage is denied by default. If you choose "Allow analytics", Google Analytics may use first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_S6XMMVD1HG, to distinguish visitors and sessions. If you decline or have not chosen yet, the Google tag still loads and sends limited measurements without reading or writing analytics cookies. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization remain denied regardless of your choice.
We save your analytics choice in local storage under swayjoy:analytics-consent:v1 for 180 days so we can remember and apply it on later visits. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only until the page is reloaded. You can change it using "Cookie settings" in the footer. Declining also removes this site's existing Google Analytics cookies; it does not delete measurements already received by Google. Separately, our games use local storage to save progress and settings; we do not send that saved game data to Google Analytics.
5. Third-party services and links
The models, scripts, and fonts a game needs (such as the MediaPipe files and the Tilt Neon and Jost fonts) are served from our own hosts and CDN. The Google Analytics script loads from Google and sends website analytics data to Google. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Some pages contain outbound links to other websites (for example, to Wikipedia for history references). Once you leave SwayJoy, the privacy practices of those sites apply, and we are not responsible for them.
6. Children's privacy
SwayJoy is a general-audience educational and entertainment service and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please play with a parent or guardian's involvement and permission. If we learn that personal information of a child under 13 has been sent to us (for example, through an email), we will delete it promptly — please contact us at [email protected].
7. Data security
Camera feeds and motion data are processed on your device and are not stored on our servers. Keep your browser and operating system up to date, grant camera access only to sites you trust, and clear your site data whenever you want a fresh start. No method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be 100% secure.
8. Your choices and rights
- Camera permission can be revoked at any time in your browser settings; games that need a camera will stop until you grant it again.
- Progress and settings live on your device. Clear your browser's site data for swayjoy.com to delete them.
- Analytics choices. to allow or decline analytics cookies at any time. You can also manage cookies in your browser or use Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported.
- Data requests. If you have questions or requests about your information, contact us at the email address below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. If a change is significant, we will call it out. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
