How to Play Motion Marble Bottle
1. Choose New Game or Continue, then allow camera access for hand tracking.
2. Watch the marbles roll from right to left. Wave your hand when a marble reaches the cue beneath the bottle to strike it upward.
3. Each marble that enters the bottle earns one point. Reach the score goal before using all your misses: five in levels 1–5, and three in levels 6–12.
Catch the Marble in the Bottle
Motion Marble Bottle turns a simple trick shot into a colorful hand-tracking arcade game. An upside-down glass bottle hangs above a stream of rolling marbles, with a cue waiting underneath. Your job is to time a hand wave so the cue strikes a marble and sends it through the narrow opening. It is a game of timing: watch the ball, wait for your moment, and make the shot.

The action takes place against a bright lakeside scene with stone arches and waterfalls. Colored glass marbles spin as they roll, leaving glowing trails when launched. A successful shot sends the new marble bouncing around inside the bottle, pushing earlier marbles apart before they settle again. Cue strikes, marble collisions, glass impacts, and scoring each have their own sound.
Time Your Wave, Make the Shot
Keep one hand visible to your webcam and make a clear, short wave as a marble reaches the striking area. The cue tilts toward nearby marbles while its base stays in place, helping you see which ball is approaching. You trigger the swing; the point where the cue meets the ball affects its path. A shot that catches the outside of the bottle can bounce away instead of going in.
You do not need to hit every marble. Balls that roll off the left edge without being struck do not count as misses, so you can let an awkward opportunity pass. A miss is counted when a struck marble leaves the playfield without entering the bottle. Watch the score meter and miss markers in the HUD to decide when to take your next shot.
12 Levels, 12 Bottle and Cue Styles
Start with Mint Starter and work toward Celestial Grandmaster. Each level pairs a different bottle finish with a matching cue, progressing through coral, sapphire, amethyst, gold, and crystal-inspired designs. The score target rises from three marbles in level 1 to sixteen in level 12, while the gaps between incoming marbles vary.
Levels 1–5 end after five missed shots; levels 6–12 end after three. Reach the target and the game waits for the remaining shots and bottle collisions to finish before showing the completion panel. Next Level and Try Again count down for three seconds, then start automatically. You can also press the button to continue immediately.
Webcam Controls and Saved Progress
The camera starts only after you choose New Game or Continue. Its picture stays hidden by default, leaving the illustrated scene visible. A soft white fingertip marker shows where your hand is being tracked. Use Show Camera in the lower-left corner to display a translucent camera view across the entire game area, behind the bottle, marbles, and cue. Hand tracking runs locally in your browser; camera video is not uploaded.
For steadier tracking, keep your hand fully in view, use even lighting, and pause briefly between waves. If the camera cannot start, choose Use Mouse / Touch and swipe across the game area to swing. Your current level is saved in this browser: Continue restarts that level, while New Game begins again at level 1. Progress does not transfer between browsers or devices.
FAQ
- How do I swing the cue?
- Choose New Game or Continue, then wave one hand in view of your webcam as a marble rolls beneath the bottle. Mouse and touchscreen swipes also swing the cue.
- How do the levels work?
- Each of the 12 levels has a score goal and its own bottle and cue design. Each marble that enters the bottle earns one point. Five missed shots fail levels 1–5; three missed shots fail levels 6–12. Retry and Next Level start automatically after a three-second countdown.
- Does letting a marble roll past count as a miss?
- No. Only a marble you strike that leaves the playfield without entering the bottle counts as a miss. You can wait for a better opportunity without losing a chance.
- When does the game use my camera?
- Only after you choose New Game or Continue. The camera picture is hidden by default; Show Camera displays a translucent view across the entire game area behind the game objects. Hand tracking runs locally in your browser, and video is not uploaded.
- Can I play without a webcam?
- Yes. If the camera cannot start, choose Use Mouse / Touch, then swipe on the game area to swing the cue.
- Can I continue my game later?
- Yes. Your current level is saved in the same browser. Continue starts that level again with a fresh score and miss count. New Game resets progress to level 1. Clearing browser storage removes the save.
